Nuvo FAQ

What are Electronic Cigarettes?

An Electronic Cigarette is comprised of 3 components: a rechargeable battery, a vaporizer, and a disposable cartomizer. When you inhale, the vaporizer releases water vapor from the liquid cartomizer, simulating the smoke of a traditional cigarette in look, feel, taste and texture.

Are Electronic Cigarettes Safe?

Tobacco smoke is the biggest health hazard of smoking. It contains tar and carbon monoxide, among over 4,000 toxic chemicals – at least 60 of which are known to be cancer-causing agents. E-cigarettes do not contain these chemicals as there is no actual smoke produced. NuvoCigs deliver nicotine upon inhale of the vaporized water/nicotine solution, thereby eliminating the harmful contaminants found in tobacco smoke.

A recent study conducted by researchers at Boston University concluded that electronic cigarettes were “much safer” than real cigarettes and may aid in breaking the habit of smoking.

Can You Really Smoke Electronic Cigarettes Anywhere?

Most smoking bans are in place to eliminate the dangers of open flame and second hand smoke. Electronic cigarettes produce a safe, odorless vapor without using a flame. As a result, they can be smoked in most areas where normal smoking bans are in place, including: bars, restaurants, airports and offices. N

How do Electronic Cigarettes Work?

Battery, vaporizer and cartomizer work together to produce vapor upon inhalation. Simply inhale the e-cigarette as you would a regular cigarette. The LED light at the tip will glow, indicating battery activation and vapor production. The batteries can be charged using a standard wall outlet or via USB. Cartomizers twist on and off with ease, making replacement a breeze.

What’s in the vapor and cartomizer?

The liquid in the cartomizers is water based, and primarily contains flavor, nicotine, and propylene glycol. Food grade flavoring additives are used to create our superior taste, replicating your favorite cigarette or giving you a whole new smoking experience. Propylene Glycol (PG) is a common additive in consumable products and pharmaceutical formulations. The FDA includes Propylene Glycol on its list of GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) substances for use as a direct food additive, and it has been used in asthma inhalers since the 1950s. Because PG can be vaporized at significantly lower temperatures than water, the vapor temperature of a NuvoCig is much safer than tobacco smoke.

Nuvo cartomizers are manufactured with pharmaceutical grade nicotine, except the NONE strength cartomizers, which contain no nicotine. The dosage varies by strength. A HIGH strength cartomizer delivers an amount similar to a regular cigarette.
